About Us
Since 1978, CBDP has advocated for the rights of marginalized and underprivileged coastal communities through various development initiatives. This people-centered organization focuses on empowering people by using a rights-based approach to support youth, create sustainable livelihoods, and promote equality, all within a technology-friendly environment. After 45 years of journey, thousands of empowered young people are now actively advancing its mission.
Mission
To empower marginalized communities, particularly women and youth, by enhancing access to rights-based services, fostering entrepreneurship, and strengthening social cohesion through participatory, innovative, and sustainable development practices.

2. Quality and Excellence: CBDP proudly celebrates Kuakata and Salimpur, now part of expanding Bangladesh’s newly MPA coverage to 10.5% of its EEZ, bringing us closer to the global 30x30 biodiversity goal!
3. Barguna Fisherwoman Earns Govt. award for Model Fish Farm— Rani Begum of Sonakata, Barguna, has succeeded in her own backyard pond, rather than risking her life catching fish fry in rivers or the sea. With fish farming training and 50,000 taka in support from the 'Fishnet' project.

4.Transparency today, sustainability tomorrow.
For the first time, a civil society platform in Arpangasia participated in a budget planning meeting to advocate for greater investment in climate resilience, access to safe drinking water, and support for marginalized women and persons with disabilities. Later, a memorandum was submitted to the Union Parishad Chairperson, urging the inclusion of these priorities in the 2026–27 budget.
