 FishNet (2024-2028)

FisherFolk Integration for Sustainable Habitat and Natural Ecosystem Transformation (FishNet) goals is To support the government in successfully achieving its target of sustainably managing at least 10% of its marine waters through community-led approaches while also extending Marine Protected Area (MPA) efforts to inland waters. This initiative aims to promote sustainable marine industries and address the structural marginalization of fisherfolk across Bangladesh.

Sundarban Coalition (2022-2027) 

Sundarban Coalition is a platform of community-led organizations dedicated to building sustainable resilience for marginalized and vulnerable communities in the coastal regions of Bangladesh. The coalition is an initiative of the Share Trust and the Warande Advisory Centre under the Local Coalition Accelerator (LCA). While it was initially hosted by Uttaran for its first three years, AVAS currently serves as the host organization, overseeing all coalition management initiatives.

Nagoric (2025-2027) 

NAGORIC: National Advancement for Governance and Rights Initiatives in Communities aims to increase the voice, representation, recognition, and participation of civil society (especially women, youth, and members of marginalized communities) in decision-making, influencing, holding the government to account, and seeking redress for violations.

Anti-Tobacco Movement (2023-2028) 

Implementation of Tobacco Advertising Promotion and Sponsorship (TAPS) ban provision in the Tobacco Control Acts, facilitation of enforcement of tobacco control legislation and police, institutional capacity development for tobacco control, and tobacco industry monitoring.

Vulnerable Women Benefit (2025-2027) 

The VWB programme, formerly known as the Vulnerable Group Development (VGD) programme, plays a crucial role in this effort. It provides women with a monthly ration of 30.3 kg of fortified rice along with intensive skill development training. These initiatives are designed to empower women by engaging them in income-generating activities. By 2030, the VWB programme aims to help 3.2 million women in both rural and urban areas establish micro-enterprises, enabling them to rise out of extreme poverty.

Sonatola Hatchery (1998-Continued) 

Operated as a social enterprise by CBDP, this venture addresses severe freshwater biodiversity decline in Bangladesh's river networks and floodplains. By producing viable, genetically diverse fingerlings, the facility provides stocking material for floodplains and community-managed sanctuaries. This reduces destructive, early-season harvesting from natural open-water ecosystems.
